The Eagles (3-4), hosted the annual EHT Pride Festival game against Lenape (5-1-1) on Saturday. Lenape stole the game away with a 2-1 win, scoring in the last 6 minutes of the game. Boys soccer got a lot of their tough games out of the way and are looking forward to piling up a bunch of power points and wins looking forward.

     After another strong showing against a good team in Lenape, the boys yet again fell short of their goals and drop to 3-4 on the season. The boys were down 1-0 heading into halftime and came out with a goal halfway through the second half thanks to junior Paulo Rizzo. Despite tying the game, costly mistakes and mental errors cost the eagles the game when they allowed the game winning goal in the final minutes.

     Jack Carrol had 8 saves which kept the Eagles in the game for a good majority of the game,  Paulo Rizzo was promoted from jv for this game and in his first minute scored the Eagles first and only goal in the middle of the second half.

     Overall the Eagles played a well rounded game but the victory slipped away with Lenape scoring the go ahead goal in the last 6 minutes. The Eagles showed they are able to compete with a team in  the Olympic American Conference which is one of the top conferences in the state.
